Digital Asset Management (DAM) Coordinator

IDW is seeking a DAM Coordinator to become a part of the post-production team. 
As an Asset Coordinator at  IDW, you live and breathe all things Digital Asset Management, starting with organization and attention to detail.  As DAM Coordinator, you will provide data entry support and play a key role as the connective tissue between the client and IDW teams, by ensuring all of our client’s digital assets are strategically managed, from RAW archiving to final brand campaign creative.

This is a contract-to-hire position, with approximately 20 hours per week through December ‘21.

IDW is based in Oakland and currently a virtual studio. This position will be remote.


  • Acts as a librarian, archivist, organizer and guardian of our assets (files, images, video, audio - all digital content).
  • Work collaboratively with the client and internal team to implement and
      continuously update digital asset management platforms.
  • Upload and organize all approved files to client and internal DAM systems, with all relevant metadata and taxonomy structure.
  • Possesses an understanding of production workflows — both print and digital.
  • Takes initiative and is proactive to solve problems and support the asset team and needs
  • Bring to our team enthusiasm and commitment to excellence 
  • Excellent tech competency and digital know-how, and adept at learning new digital platforms
  • Strong communication skills, with an attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver before deadlines.
  • Collaborative, able to foster a team relationship with co-workers and clients
  • Exercises critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to opportunities.
  • Flexibility, willingness to shift gears to meet project deadlines and client deliverables



  • Bachelor’s degree in a creative or computer science or related field
  • 1-2 years in data administrative, asset management role in a creative agency and/or production studio environment
  • Experience with DAM systems, library systems, content management systems a plus
  • Working knowledge of standard metadata models
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop, Microsoft Office (XLS & PPT), and Google Suite
